Somewhere To Eat?

Dinan
The beautiful medieval walled town of Dinan (only 5 mins car journey) with its narrow winding cobbled streets has over 40 restaurants, bars and pizzerias. There is something in Dinan for all ages, tastes and budgets, from Michelin starred restaurants to Internet cafes.

Cancale
The ‘Oyster Capital of Brittany’ and some 15km east of St Malo, with views of Mont St Michel. Cancale made its’ reputation as a fishing port and now has many fine restaurants specialising in seafood and shell fish lining the quayside.

St Malo
Approximately 25 minutes drive away, the old town of St Malo is a labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets, littered with restaurants to suit all tastes from fine French cuisine to spicy Vietnamese cooking.

Places of Interest

Dinan
A medieval stronghold overlooking the beautiful Rance Valley, Dinan is undeniably one of the most exquisite towns in Brittany. Still surrounded by magnificent ramparts, its’ heritage has been protected with belfrys, churches, timbered houses and narrow cobbled streets revealing their secrets as you meander through them. Find many find restaurants, browse through some of its’ individual and unique shops or hire a boat to go down the River Rance. Whatever you do, Dinan will give you an unforgettable day out.

St Malo
A delight for any holiday to Brittany, something of a natural jewel on the emerald coast. It is a splendidly preserved walled city that has been almost completely restored after being all but obliterated during World Wall II. There is a maze of narrow cobbled streets within the great rampart walls which are home to countless shops, restaurants and pavement cafes.

Mont Saint Michel
The world famous and most visited site in the whole of France, guardian and treasure house of the sweeping bay sine the 10th century. Whilst now extremely commercialised, wondrous to some and a shrine of pilgrimage to others, it is still an obligatory visit for any first time visitor to Brittany. You will find a memorable ascent to a memorable place never to be forgotten.

Beaches

This part of Brittany is quite literally littered with asuccession of sweeping bays and golden strands. The deep blue sea of the emerald coast is irresistible to children and all those who are young at heart. Here we name just a few of the many beaches which are within a short drive of our Villas.

St Lunaire
A pretty seaside resort on the Cote Emeraud and the nearest to our Villas (about 20 minutes drive).You will discover here one of the most beautiful views on the Emerald Coast with the bay of St Malo one one side and Cap Frehel on the other. The main beach is 900m long and it is here that you can rent a boat or learn to sail board.There are also childrens clubs on the beach and a few bars and restaurants in the town,

Le Val Andre
A golden super fine sandy beach 2.5 km long linking the sailing club at one end of the bay and backed by a long pedestrian promenade.The beach is ideally situated and is sheltered from prevailing winds,it is safe for children and has life guards in the holiday season.

Golf

Whatever the season, you will find discovering Brittany’s golf courses a very attractive proposition. There are numerous golf courses,which are within a short drive of our Villas some located by the coast and others in land.Here are some brief details;

St Cast Pen Guen
Situated between Cap Frehel and St Malo this 18 hole course runs alongside Pen Guen beach.A relatively short course but challenging and a delight to play whatever your handicap. Par 68 High Season 51 Euros. Tel +33 296 41 91 20.

Sables D’Or
Lying close to the headlands of Cap Frehel and the beaches of Sables D’Or This 18 hole links course was created in 1923. Re modelled in 2003 it is now A varied and challenging course. Par 70 High Season 61 Euros.

Val Andre
Rated as one of the best courses in Europe it is beautifully positioned overlooking the cliff and beaches of Val Andre,but located on rolling countryside. From tees to greens and as far as the eye can see there are amazing land and seascapes. Par 72 High Season 47 Euros Tel.+33 296 63 01 12.
